Critical repairs

A safe, well-maintained home is the foundation of a healthy life. Our critical repairs projects help keep homes safe and livable for families, municipalities, and communities across Quebec.

A real need

Many families can't afford the essential repairs their home needs. According to a 2024 report from Statistics Canada and the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC), 7.3% of households in Canadian provinces are living in homes that need major repairs.

Maintaining existing homes is a key part of tackling the affordable housing crisis in Quebec. A repair is considered critical when it's essential to keeping a home legal, safe, and livable, and when it resolves a health or safety issue.

Together we build safety and dignity.

Quality work you can trust

The work is carried out by licensed professionals and skilled tradespeople, sometimes supported by volunteers, to ensure a lasting result for homeowners and communities.

Current projects

We are proud to partner with PlanIt Consulting & Communications and the Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke to launch our first home renovation pilot project. This pilot project aims to address the minor renovation needs of vulnerable Kahnawà:ke residents.

Là pour toit is a roofing renovation project for low-income homeowner families in Quebec. Born from an alliance between local roofing contractors, material supplier GAF, and Habitat for Humanity Quebec, this project helps families regain safe and healthy homes each year.
